Oxford Test of English (OTE) and Oxford Test of English Advanced (OTE Adv) Cancellation and Refund Policy
If you are considering canceling your Oxford Test of English (OTE) or Oxford Test of English Advanced (OTE Adv) test booking, you may be eligible for a full or partial refund under the necessary rules. You can receive a 100% refund for cancellation requests made at least 14 days before the test date. For tests canceled at least 7 days before the test date, only 50% of the registration fee is refundable, while the remaining 50% is non-refundable. Oxford University Press (OUP) retains the remainder of your payment to cover expenses for processing your registration.
Eligible Refunds
- 100% refund for cancellations made at least 14 days before the test date.
- 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before the test date.
- No refunds or rescheduling for cancellations made less than 7 days before the test date, regardless of the reason. All participants who proceed with the payment are deemed to have accepted these rules in advance.
Non-Eligible Refunds
You will not be eligible for a refund if:
- You do not cancel your registration by the cancellation deadline.
- You do not attend the test as scheduled.
- You leave the test room without permission while the test is in progress.
- You commit or attempt to commit any kind of cheating.
- You fail in-room security checks.
- You fail ID verification checks on the test day.
To determine the equivalences of the Oxford Test of English through test equating and other statistical methods, it is required to provide the necessary information and exam results to ÖSYM upon request for exams conducted in Türkiye. All candidates registered for the exam must accept this condition.
